Provides assistance to job seekers in gaining soft skills, training, certificates, degrees, and connecting with employers.

Work Experience Internship
(WE)

The "Try Before You Buy" method. Allows Workforce Solutions to place program participants on company sites under an MOU. Participants can be paid up to 300 hours under program funding to gain soft skills while earning income.

On-the-Job Training
(OJT)

Allows Workforce Solutions to reimburse a portion of a program participant's payroll. Any company with 250 employees or less can be reimbursed at the rate of 75%. Businesses with more than 250 employees will be reimbursed at a rate of 50%.

Reverse Referrals

This option is for applicants who are "almost perfect." Your business can refer the applicant to Workforce Solutions East Texas for training, soft skills, and support services to make them a good candidate for your company!

Occupational Skills Training
(OST)

Individuals eligible for Workforce Programs can be sent to school for training, license/certificates, and degrees. It's our goal to provide our workforce with skilled individuals!

Incumbent Worker Training

The Incumbent Worker Training program enables local businesses to compete in the job market by providing employees training in areas the business determines are needed. Cost of the training varies from 10% for small companies to 50% for large companies. The percentage is based on the number of employees of the company.
