Workforce Solutions East Texas can provide many services to young adults (ages 16 to 24) through our Career Edge Young Adult Program. This program allows us to provide job skills for our future job seekers. We can do this by providing Paid Work Experience, Work Readiness Courses, and Scholarships for school! In order to be eligible you must have a barrier to employment which can include, but is not limited to:
- Pregnant/Parenting Youth
- Disability or 504 plan in school
- Criminal record
- Needing GED
- Low income
- Living in an area of poverty
- Limited English skills
- Basic skills deficient
WIOA Youth Program
Have you heard about the Dream Expo? You can explore careers virtually.
We host the Dream Expo to help teens with researching possible career paths. Due to local restrictions, the 6th annual Dream Expo was recorded virtually for students to go back and embark on for further exploration. Students and ISDs are invited to explore careers with just a click online.
