Izashia knew she wanted to work in the medical field but wasn't sure where to start. As she and her advisor developed her Individualized Employment Plan, a pathway was formed. Soon, Izashia graduated the Career Edge class and Workforce staff enrolled Izashia in Work Experience with Magnolia Place in Jefferson, TX. On 12/7/2022, Izashia began her career as a hospitality aide.

After discovering her aptitude for the career path, Izashia knew she wanted to pursue further education in the field. During a weekly check in with her advisor, Izashia mentioned her new education goals and her advisor assisted with gaining approval for the WIOA Youth program to pay for her to start CMA training in the spring semester of 2023. Izashia is on the way to achieving her goals. She credits the WIOA program and WSET staff for her successes! "The WIOA program is highly beneficial for young adults."
