Jay was amazed to learn that by receiving unemployment, he qualified
for the WIOA DW program. As Jay found the light out of his dark days, he was inspired by his daughter to tap into his creative side. Jay had always had a passion for making old things new again. With this in mind, he decided to follow his desire. Through the WIOA program, Jay was soon hired by Castle
Creations through the OJT program as a restoration and autobody repair worker.
Jay started his agreement on July 25, 2022. Although his enrollment in the OJT program ended in January 2023, he still remains employed at Castle Creations! When asked about his journey through the Workforce Solutions programs, Jay stated "The experience has been great and at my age, I was unsure where life was headed after being laid off. If I hadn't applied for WIOA, I would probably still be looking for work. The OJT program was a blessing and the training at Castle Creations has given me a career path that allows me to do something I am passionate about."
